About this event
Janet Evra, Artist-in-Residence at The Sheldon, is an international jazz singer-songwriter, vocalist, bassist, and bandleader. She has collaborated with jazz luminaries including Randy Brecker, Marcus Miller, Al Di Meola, Veronica Swift, Taylor Eigsti, and Wycliffe Gordon, among many others. For one special evening at The Sheldon, Evra expands that impressive roster to include Bria Skonberg - trumpeter, singer, and songwriter.
The New York Times writes, “Ms. Skonberg has become the shining hope of hot jazz, on the strength of a clarion trumpet style indebted to Louis Armstrong, a smooth purr of a singing voice inspired by Anita O’Day, and the wholesome glow of youth.
This concert is made possible with generous support from Greg Mouldon / NIE Insurance.
