EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On November 12, Rockwood School District's G-wing experienced loud construction noise as Shay Roofing repaired damage from spring storms—teachers moved classes to lessen distractions while some students feared the roof might collapse. Marquette Messenger
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After many residents shared their ideas, Chesterfield updated its biking and walking plan; on Nov. 3 the City Council approved five priority projects worth about $26 million, including a trail extension and road crossing improvement. City staff will soon pursue grants and work with regional agencies (like St. Louis County and the Missouri Department of Transportation) to secure funding. West Newsmagazine
- ➤ St. Louis and St. Charles Counties now require hunters to have any deer shot tested for Chronic Wasting Disease at one of five stations on the day they are killed—this rule comes ahead of the gun-based hunting season that will run November 15 to 25. The Missouri Department of Conservation said the testing is essential to monitor a disease that greatly threatens Missouri’s deer population. First Alert 4
