State officials say Missouri’s TANF program is not affected by SNAP cuts even as Governor Kehoe moved $5M to food banks—helping meet growing local needs—and families will continue to receive their monthly cash benefits.

On Tuesday, 500 hot meals and 900 cans of formula were given out at six sites to help families receiving SNAP benefits—an effort led by the Department of Public Health.

County officials said the program will resume next Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.—with distributions at locations like John C. Murphy Health Center and Affinia Healthcare—while stressing the growing need among 47,000 SNAP households.
