- ➤ Amtrak will add a third daily train run between St. Louis and Kansas City for the World Cup — details such as the start date and run times are being finalized by the Missouri Department of Transportation, Amtrak and Union Pacific. St. Louis Post-Dispatch
- ➤ Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe held a special session on Aug. 29 to pass bills that update how voters approve changes to the state Constitution. The Protect Missouri Voters amendment, signed on Sept. 28, will go to the ballot in 2026—critics say this change limits the power of urban voters. West Newsmagazine
