- ➤ Chesterfield city council approved tax rates for the Wildhorse Village and Downtown special business districts. The city set a $0.4170 rate per $100 assessed value for Wildhorse Village — projected to raise $138,252 for infrastructure — and a $0.00 rate for Downtown to avoid future revenue restrictions with one council member opposing the measure. - ➤ Sen. Bernie Sanders sent a letter to Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg on Wednesday asking the company to work with IAM Union members to end the months-long strike in St. Louis. - ➤ St. Louis County health officials warned today that residents living near Coldwater Creek in RECA zip codes face higher risks for lung, kidney, and other cancers due to radioactive waste left from atomic bomb production decades ago—new data shows a 44% increase in lung cancer, a 40% rise in kidney cancer, and an 18% jump in overall cancer risk. They urged affected residents to get screened and check if they qualify for compensation if someone in their family has cancer. First Alert 4
