BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Boeing and union leaders reached a tentative agreement—after lengthy talks—that will end the strike affecting St. Louis operations, company officials said. St. Louis Post-Dispatch
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Sept. 10, moving crews replaced old furniture in several offices at Marquette High School, which caused hallway traffic to back up during passing periods. School officials said the update was overdue and plan to refurbish other areas later this school year. Marquette Messenger
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ An agreement was approved for phase 6 of the Monarch-Chesterfield Levee Trail to raise the levee and restore the asphalt trail, with Kuesel Excavating hired to make the improvements and the city set to reimburse the district through transportation funding—this coordination is expected to expedite construction and avoid duplicate work. The project received final approval at a Sept. 2 meeting and will soon move forward as planned. West Newsmagazine
