ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On August 28, a motorcyclist lost control near the Page exit on I-270 and crashed into the median — his injuries required leg amputation and several surgeries while traffic delays lasted over an hour that morning.  First Alert 4

FINANCE NEWS

  • A winning Powerball ticket worth nearly $900 million was sold at a QuikTrip in north St. Louis County during Saturday’s record drawing—announced by the Missouri Lottery on Monday.  St. Louis Post-Dispatch

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Chesterfield is planning to replace its aging aquatic center at 16365 Lydia Hill Drive by hiring FGMA to review options and study financing including a potential bond issue (the FGMA contract was approved on Sept 2). If residents back the plan and financing is secured, the new facility is expected to open midsummer after the current center closes in August.  West Newsmagazine
  • St. Louis County is set to hold a hearing today on a bill that would require hemp edibles to be sold only in dispensaries—business owners warn many shops will shut down if the law passes. Councilwoman Clancy said the measure aims to protect children by enforcing strict safety rules for products with high THC levels.  First Alert 4
