- ➤ Forrest L. Smith, 37, pleaded guilty in May to selling a fatal dose of fentanyl to a St. Louis County woman who was found dead on Oct. 5, 2021 — he has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. First Alert 4
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students at MHS will see retired police officer Kelly Murray join the district's safety team as a new school safety officer while Officer Dave Weiss continues to manage middle and elementary schools. Senior Principal Kyle Devine said Strategos will inspect safety systems at MHS in two weeks—this review comes after heightened safety measures were put in place following social media threats in fall 2022. - ➤ Provision Land Development requested rezoning of a 56.31-acre tract in historic Westland Acres to build 50 new single-family homes after an Aug. 25 hearing, and the plan preserves common grounds, trees, and a 30-foot landscape buffer plus includes a partial relocation of Church Road.
