Boeing workers from St. Charles and Mascoutah are set to strike at midnight today after they rejected the company’s final contract offer over wages, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
One worker said the deal undervalues years of service — low strike pay could force many to find extra work.
Boeing workers in the St. Louis area rejected a modified contract offer on Sunday—setting up a strike that begins today at midnight for about 3,200 local employees at plants in the region.
Boeing said it is disappointed with the vote and has activated its plan to keep operations running—while union leaders insist workers deserve a fair contract.
