- ➤ Missouri’s annual back-to-school sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 1 and runs until midnight on Aug. 3—purchases like clothing under $100, school supplies under $50, and computer devices under $1,500 will be tax-exempt while other items are not covered. West Newsmagazine
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Mike Kehoe signed Senate Bill 68 that lets recovery high schools get tuition fee reimbursements from DESE using opioid lawsuit funds. The law will provide $10 million each year for 10 years to support schools that help students recovering from substance use while learning. West Newsmagazine
- ➤ WashU and MilliporeSigma signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to boost scientific collaboration in St. Louis.
