- ➤ Boeing said Tuesday that it made its final contract offer to union-represented workers in the St. Louis area — the proposal offers a 20% wage increase over four years, a $5,000 bonus, faster pay scale steps and more vacation and sick leave, and workers will vote on Sunday as their current contract expires at the end of that day. - ➤ Chesterfield police say Daniel Hardcastle, 46, recorded himself trapping a groundhog, pouring gasoline on it and lighting it on fire in his backyard last month, and he now faces felony charges of animal abuse by torture and unlawful possession of a firearm—further cases are pending. - ➤ A replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and its Mobile Education Center will be placed at Jefferson Barracks Park. An opening ceremony is set for 10 a.m. tomorrow and a closing ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday—marking the start of the memorial's disassembly. First Alert 4

- ➤ A state appeals court ruled Tuesday that unpaid sewer bills are wiped from a property’s title after a tax sale—new owners will not inherit old liens, a decision that protects neighborhood rehabbers.
