- ➤ Six Flags St. Louis now requires kids 15 and under to be accompanied by an adult after 4 p.m.—the rule applies every day and only one chaperone is needed for up to 10 children. Some teenagers find the rule unfair while many parents say it helps keep kids safe and will remain in effect for years to come. First Alert 4
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ St. Luke's Health Corp has listed the Des Peres Hospital for sale as it will close on Aug. 1 due to low utilization and financial issues. The 143-bed facility sits on 47 acres zoned for residential use — its sale is overseen by Cushman and Wakefield and will not affect St. Luke’s hospital or outpatient centers in Chesterfield. - ➤ Fish Window Cleaning opened its new 12,500-square-foot headquarters at 217 Chesterfield Towne Centre, which includes a model office and classroom for training franchise owners + the move from a refurbished racquetball club in Manchester will support over 200 franchise locations. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Chesterfield man, Daniel E. Hardcastle II (46), was arrested and charged with animal cruelty for lighting a groundhog on fire with gasoline and recording the act on June 6 while police later found a loaded Ruger 9mm and suspected drugs in his home on July 16. First Alert 4

- ➤ On July 17, the St. Louis County Port Authority board selected CBRE as broker to market and sell the Jamestown Mall site—a 142-acre property that once held a 1.2 million-square-foot mall.
