- ➤ Chesterfield Cares and The Staenberg Group are hosting a tornado relief drive—at The District in Chesterfield on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents will drop off non-perishable food, personal hygiene products and baby supplies to help those affected by the recent tornadoes. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Galilee Academy — a Christian Science school with grades pre-K through 12 — scrapped plans for a Chesterfield site after over 800 local signatures opposed its proposal due to traffic and safety concerns. The school will open later this school year at an alternative, intermediate location in west-central St. Louis County. St. Louis Post-Dispatch

- ➤ St. Louis County announced it will soon launch a new text-to-911 service to help keep families safe—joining Jefferson, St. Charles and Warren counties that already offer the service. The plan follows major 911 dispatch center updates made three years ago. First Alert 4
- ➤ Officials announced that the eastbound I-270 ramp to southbound I-170 will be closed through September for bridge replacement work starting June20 at 5 a.m. Pershall Road from Hanley Road to Hazelwood Avenue will close on June20 at 8 p.m. until June23 at 6 a.m.—the road will then operate with one lane daily until construction is complete. - ➤ Chesterfield Hockey Association plans to expand the Maryville University Hockey Center by adding extra locker rooms for the Maryville team and a new third rink for practice, which will boost the facility's size and require more parking.
