GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Chesterfield City Council approved amendments on June 4 to modify two planned commercial districts—one for a 5-acre lot known as the Wedge where Energy Marketing 709 LLC will tear down the current facility to build a new gas station, car wash and strip mall, and another for a 77-acre site that will allow a new hotel and mixed-use building with retail, restaurant and office space near Gateway Studios. - ➤ The state will inspect the St Louis County Animal Shelter at the end of June and warn that it may close if it does not meet compliance by late September. State inspector Matt Rold said the shelter already failed three inspections this year because of issues like small kennels and expired medications. First Alert 4
