- ➤ Weeks after an EF3 tornado hit the region, local groups including Samaritan’s Purse & Bonhomme Presbyterian Church are sending 75-100 volunteers daily with disaster relief tools & Lakeside Children’s Academy partnered with local businesses to donate over 280 children’s essentials. A community drive by Chesterfield Cares will take place on June 20 & 21 at The District from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect supplies for affected families. West Newsmagazine

- ➤ Local police and scam experts will hold a scam prevention town hall at Ballwin Golf Club, 333 Holloway Road, on June 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.—detectives from Ballwin, Chesterfield, and St. Louis County will offer tips on how to recognize and avoid scams. West Newsmagazine
- ➤ Gov. Mike Kehoe and other state officials will travel to France on June 16 for a trade mission to meet business and government leaders as Missouri lawmakers work to approve a stadium subsidy and tornado aid package worth more than $1.5 billion. The Senate-approved measure will go to a House vote and includes funds for new stadium construction, disaster relief, and tax cap proposals (a deal following a similar offer from Kansas).
