Good morning, Chesterfield.

In April 2024, two 18 year olds raced in St. Louis County and one teen’s car struck workers, killing construction worker Christopher Johnson and seriously injuring another, with prosecutors dropping charges against Patrick Aten—while Deondre Robinson pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, assault in the second degree and driving without a valid license and is recommended for a ten year prison sentence.

The St. Louis County Council issued subpoenas for 11 people after a frustrating hearing on the animal shelter—where questions were raised over a failed state inspection and a parvovirus outbreak that led to 19 dogs being euthanized.

Councilmember Archer said the council will pursue further subpoenas if needed to get clear answers.
