- ➤ Bayer announced it will name veteran Guru Ramamurthy as the new CFO for its Crop Science division in July and he will be based at the North American headquarters in the St. Louis area. He replaces Oliver Rittgen (after 25 years with Bayer) as the firm faces rising costs from Roundup lawsuits. St. Louis Post-Dispatch

- ➤ St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page vetoed a $3.2 million measure to fund Rustic Roots Sanctuary, an urban farm in Spanish Lake that aimed to fight food insecurity—citing lack of proper vendor oversight under county rules.
