- ➤ Supporters of KDHX are urging a federal judge to block the planned sale of the community-run radio station to a national evangelical broadcaster. Lawyers will appear before the judge on April 16th while many locals say the move could end a trusted local voice (some back a plan led by donors and volunteers). St. Louis Post-Dispatch
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, the EPA announced that cleanup at West Lake Landfill will start excavation in 2027—two years sooner than originally planned. The agency also said Coldwater Creek will be fully cleaned up when the site is transferred to the Department of Energy in 2038. First Alert 4
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Missouri legislators have proposed a law to restrict invasive plant sales from state nurseries. The bill would bar climbing euonymus, Japanese honeysuckle, sericea lespedeza and perilla mint starting Jan. 1, 2027 and ban Callery pear trees and burning bush starting Jan. 1, 2029—after a Senate vote of 32 to 1, a House committee will review the plan.
