Good morning, Chesterfield.
🏛️ Government
Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe requested a federal disaster declaration following March 14 storms that affected 28 counties.
He asked for FEMA individual assistance for 25 counties and public assistance for 20 counties to help cover repair and replacement costs.
Missouri lawmakers plan to form a commission to study billboards on I-70 and examine safety, scenic quality, and driver distractions—despite industry leaders saying the review is a thinly disguised attempt to hurt outdoor advertising and waste taxpayer money.
The 250-mile stretch has about 3.64 billboards per mile, drawing attention from both traffic planners and local commuters.
