About this event
Class: Level 3 Pole - Advanced Prerequisites: This class is NOT for new or inexperienced pole students. You MUST be approved by an instructor prior to attending this class for the first time. If you think you are ready to level up please approach your instructor and they will assess your skills and place you in the appropriate level. Leveling up is determined on a case by case basis by your instructor for your own safety. Suggested prerequisite moves include but are not limited to: Intermediate pole spins such as the Fireman series, Chair / Hook spins, Twisted grip spins such as Ballerina, a strong bracket grip climb with both legs, an upright and inverted Crucifix position with no hands and the technique of Caterpillar from the floor, a solid pole sit with no hands, a horizontal Jasmine with a split grip hold on both sides including pulling up into a hood ornament position, a descending Jasmine with inverted skills such as Bird Cage, Marley, hip holds and Tammy and to be able to descend into an invert or be working on ascending invert prep from the floor. Recommended Attire: Form fitting above the knee shorts and a comfortable t-shirt / tank top / sports bra. Please be aware that some moves will require additional skin on the sides of the hips / stomach. Required items: Clean microfiber towel, pole cleaning spray, pole grip. These items are available for purchase at the studio. Microfiber towels are used to wipe down your pole at the beginning, during, and the end of class. Pole cleaning spray is used to sanitize germs and remove oils / lotions from the pole. We offer multiple types of pole grips including Dry Hands, itac, Dew Point, and Tite Grip that are used to either prevent sweating, or provide tack / stick on the hands or body, and this is dependent on the students’ body chemistry, and needs in class. Age Restrictions: This class is for everyone aged 18+ Class Description: This 60 min class is designed to introduce intermediate pole students to more pole concepts, challenging moves and pole trick combos. This class focuses on learning intermediate pole fitness techniques, safe body mechanics, and pole terminology. You will build strength through total body conditioning using the pole to climb, push, pull and work every muscle. This class is recommended for intermediate pole students who are already comfortable with the beginner movements of pole fitness such as spins with both feet off the floor, climbing to the top of pole, sitting on the pole for an extended period of time, holding their body weight off the floor in a bracket or baseball grip, and being in an inverted position such as a pole handstand or inverted crucifix. If you have some prior experience with the pole but are uncertain about your level, or it has been a while since you have attended a class, please register for Level 1 Pole - Intro to Pole (New Student Pole Fundamentals) and the instructor can help assess your current ability and place you in the appropriate level.
