About this event
Join the WashU Wind Ensemble for an evening of musical contrasts, dramatic rhythms, and cinematic favorites! The program opens with Robert Sheldon’s _Chiaroscuro_, exploring the interplay of light and dark, followed by _Nocturne_, an original work by Wind Ensemble member Gabriel Futhey. John Barnes Chance’s powerful _Incantation and Dance_ brings driving rhythms and intensity to the stage, while Maurice Jarre’s sweeping score from the epic film _Lawrence of Arabia_, arranged by Alfred Reed, provides a grand cinematic finish.
