About this event

Launched on August 30, 2026, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is approaching first light, opening a new window on some of the hardest problems in astrophysics.

At the next Astronomy on Tap St. Louis, Jacqueline Vazquez and Aysu Ece Sarıcaoğlu will explore what planets around white dwarfs can tell us about the long-term fate of planetary systems, and how gravitational lensing can reveal dark matter through its gravitational effects even when it emits no light.

Two different corners of astrophysics, and one telescope built to probe both.

Time: Tuesday, November 17, 7 pm

Location: Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, The Grove
